Rich in color and steeped in traditional pattern work, this piece brings the tactile character of true flatweave construction into a modern room. Hand-knotted in wool with a Soumak weave structure on a cotton foundation, the rug is fully reversible, giving two usable faces from the same piece. The deep brown field is filled with an interlocking lattice of scrolling vines and palmette forms, each connected by soft curving stems and centered with small floral medallions in gold, rose, and moss green. A wide tan border surrounds the field, patterned with diamond and star shaped medallions, finished with a slim green guard stripe and brown outer edge before the fringe. *Note: The color of your rug may appear slightly different in person than it does on screen.
