Woven in the Soumak tradition, this rug builds its beige field out of a lattice of vines, each junction blooming into a rosette in gold, sage or dusty blue. It's an Arts & Crafts sensibility applied to an old Persian idea, ordered and repeating, but drawn loose enough to feel handmade at every point. The rug's deep red border features cartouches and cross-flowers running the full perimeter. Hand knotted on a cotton foundation and fully reversible, it's a piece that ages well. *Note: This rug was photographed under studio lighting, which means the colors on screen may appear a little more vibrant than they do in person.
