Experience the versatility of traditional Anatolian motifs reimagined for contemporary living. Drawing inspiration from classic Oushak and Ottoman damask patterns, this area rug showcases an all-over lattice of intricate scrollwork medallions in ivory and pale gold against a muted slate base. Artisans weave each line by hand, achieving the signature color variation that gives authentic handcrafted textiles their distinct depth. Soft yet resilient, this wool centerpiece adds character to any interiors.
*Note: This rug was photographed under studio lighting, which means the colors on screen may appear a little more vibrant than they do in person. We'd recommend watching the video below for a truer sense of the palette.

Story Behind the Art: Hand-knotted rugs are Pakistan's second-largest cottage and small industry that began as early as the 11th century under the Mughal rule. The craftsmen have the capacity to produce any type of rug using all the popular motifs of guls, medallions, paisleys (botehs), traceries, and geometric designs in various combinations. While the "stone washes" are used to fade and soften colors, the Peshawar style is characterized by a thinly sheered pile, large print designs, and most predominantly, their antique ivory and sometimes golden tones.
