Our hand-knotted wool Oushak rug floats peach, gold and rust medallions over an ivory field. A wide taupe-brown border with soft flowers frames the open center, and fringe finishes each end. The colors blend gently from the middle out to the border, and the motifs are fine and detailed, so the whole rug looks softly aged. The pile is smooth with a vintage-style finish and the wool is resilient under daily use. A low-suction vacuum with the beater bar off is all the upkeep it needs. Peach, gold and rust sit well beside ivory, tan and warm browns. A classic Oushak look in gentle, easy neutrals, it is a good traditional area rug for anyone who likes soft color.
