Woven in the Soumak tradition, this piece spreads a lattice of palmettes and serrated leaves across a warm rose field in sage, aqua and deep teal. The design owes as much to the Arts & Crafts movement as it does to the old Caucasian weaving villages, all honest structure and unfussy botanical drawing. The rug’s wide gold border carries oversized rosettes and is pinned in place by a slim teal guard stripe on either side. Built on a cotton foundation and reversible, so it wears evenly and lasts twice as long. *Note: This rug was photographed under studio lighting, which means the colors on screen may appear a little more vibrant than they do in person.
