Story Behind the Art: Our LoomBloom Oushak Collection is a homage to the superlative craftsmanship and timeless elegance of Turkish Oushak rugs of yore. Our Indo-Oushak rugs are knotted with the same type of knot known as the "Ghiordes knot" (or Turkish knot), that is used in the original Oushak rugs of old. Such a knotting method allows for a denser and more durable weave, which is less likely to shed over time compared to other knotting styles. Our rugs incorporate the distinctive medallions, floral motifs, and geometric patterns characteristic of traditional Oushak rugs, but with a contemporary twist.
