Create a calm, welcoming feel in your home with this one-of-a-kind hand-knotted Peshawar wool rug. Designed in a soft, easy-to-love palette of warm tan, neutral beige, and gentle ivory, this transitional area rug brings instant warmth to any room without overpowering your decor. Master artisans have hand-tied soft natural wool into a subtle botanical pattern for a clean, effortless look. Built for real life, its durable and pet-friendly design holds up beautifully to everyday foot traffic while keeping your living room or bedroom looking effortless. *Note: The color of your rug may appear slightly different in person than it does on screen. This happens because device displays tend to oversaturate color, and because the pile's height causes it to catch and reflect light differently depending on the direction it's brushed, which can shift how a shade looks from one angle to the next. We've done our best to photograph this rug in a way that reflects its true tone, and we'd recommend watching the video below for a more accurate sense of its colors before you order. If you're still unsure, feel free to give us a call and we're happy to walk you through it.

Story Behind the Art: Hand-knotted rugs are Pakistan's second-largest cottage and small industry that began as early as the 11th century under the Mughal rule. The craftsmen have the capacity to produce any type of rug using all the popular motifs of guls, medallions, paisleys (botehs), traceries, and geometric designs in various combinations. While the "stone washes" are used to fade and soften colors, the Peshawar style is characterized by a thinly sheered pile, large print designs, and most predominantly, their antique ivory and sometimes golden tones.
