Our hand-loomed Tibetan rug is made from wool and bamboo silk and carries a bold ivory damask over a warm caramel ground. The damask is built from ogee medallions with scrolling leaves that repeat down the length of the rug in a soft, tone-on-tone way. The scrolls look almost brushed onto the surface, so the edges of each motif stay gentle and the pattern never feels harsh. The pile feels smooth and fine, with a slight sheen from the bamboo silk, and it is best suited to gentle everyday use since silk shows wear more than wool. Vacuum on a low setting without a beater bar and blot spills quickly. Ivory and caramel pair easily with whites, tans and deeper browns. Warm in color and classic in pattern, it is a transitional area rug that fits many palettes.
